We are happy to announce the release of the newest edition tot he Swellpro range, the brand new FD1S Fishing Drone.
Designed as the entry level model in the Swellpro range, the FD1S shares the same pedigree that has made the Swellpro Fishing Drones the most popular fishing drones around the world.

The FD1S is the result of careful research and listening to our customers. We have taken the popular FD1+ model (which is no longer being manufactured) and made some serious upgrades to that model, to come up with the FD1S.
Some of the most important new upgrades on the FD1S include:
NEW TOF Downward facing sensor – which results in much more accurate and stable landings
NEW Smart Battery – which provides much better battery management and a better battery lifespan over time.
INCREASED Battery flight time, thanks to a larger capacity battery being sued.
UPGRADED internal electronics – providing more stable flight charactrics all round, which is much better for new drone fisherman.
We are very excited about these upgrades, and the best thing is that we will have the new FD1S model available for shipping in a week, here in New Zealand.
The new FD1S utilises the same drone design and body as the SD4/ FD1+/ FD3 models – which is tried and tested and represents a very tough and ruggedised style – made to handle whatever the New Zealand weather can throw at it.
Utislising a new Smart Flight Battery, the FD1S is a significant step forward in technology vs. the older FD1+ which employed a simple Lithium Polymer battery. The FD1S actually has a BMS which is a chip which helps manage the battery to prolong the useful life of the battery into the future, which is really handy!
The other big advancement is the addition of new downward facing sensors (called TOF Sensors) on the bottom the FD1S which assist especially when coming into a land, as the drone is now able to judge height above the beach or landing area – making for a more stable landing.
